Cohen has taken his show to Hollywood before, visiting in both May 2017 and April 2018. This time around, he will have A-list guests like Matthew McConaughey, Christina Aguilera, Anne Hathaway, Judd Apatow, and RuPaul Charles.

However, this latest West Coast edition of WWHL isn’t just about getting big name guests. Cohen is in town to wait for his surrogate to deliver his baby boy. On the December 20th episode of WWHL, Cohen told fans that his first child is finally on the way.

“Family means everything to me and having one of my own is something I’ve wanted in my heart for my entire life. And, while it has taken me longer than most to get there, I cannot wait for what I envision will be my most rewarding chapter yet,” Cohen told his audience.

He also told viewers that they are his friends who have supported him through “ten years of tomfoolery,” and it has been an incredible journey. Cohen added that he is grateful to be able to live his dream every day, and he doesn’t take it for granted.

Later, while hosting CNN’s New Year’s Eve coverage with Anderson Cooper, Cohen revealed that he would be welcoming a son and he can’t wait “to meet this boy.” He also told fans that he has all of the gear he needs to bring his son home, and the great women in his life have given him wonderful advice.

The 50-year-old would not reveal what his son’s name will be, but he did say that he feels blessed going into 2019, and he also gave a shout-out to Ricky Martin who just announced that he is the proud father of a newborn baby girl.
